Supporting the sector
We are an authority on housing issues relating to disabled people, older adults and veterans, and we occupy a unique space in Scotland’s housing sector as the only charity providing cross-tenure, Scotland-wide housing advice to these groups.
Our insight and experience are valued, and we are proud to be a strategic partner of the Scottish Government.
We regularly contribute to a wealth of sector-specific working groups, and many of our team are trustees with other housing and healthcare organisations. We are members of Advice UK, Homeless Network Scotland and All in for Change and we regularly work in partnership with others to tackle Scotland’s housing emergency, prevent homelessness and help as many people as we can to live well in their homes.
In Autumn 2026, Housing Options Scotland is on tour across Scotland to connect with professionals in health, housing and across the third sector.
How we can help you and your organisation

Training
We offer training and consultancy services to individuals and organisations, and we are also happy to host secondments and student placements.

Events
We go out on tour to meet partners and connect face-to-face with those who need help. We also programme webinars that share insight into our services and the support that we are able to provide individuals and other organisations.

Research and policy
Every year we commission or contribute to research, supporting decision-makers to gain greater understanding of the impact of housing policy in practice. We regularly partner with the University of Stirling, Queen Margaret University and St Andrews University.

Since the very early days of Housing Options Scotland, we have been keen to collaborate and work in partnership across the multiplicity of stakeholders and other interested parties. We famously never turn down an opportunity to meet, to discuss and to share. Many of our most successful partnerships have begun with an initial coffee and catch up. We encourage you to get in touch if you’d like to work with us.
